WELCOME TO GRANVILLE MOORE'S

Granville Moore’s Brickyard opened its doors on August 3, 2007 as a locals Belgian beer bar with an emphasis on delicious food and rare and interesting beers. As the moules, frites, and upscale bar food began to attract foodies and beer-lovers alike, Granville Moore's soon became a destination restaurant for more than the H Street locals.

We have appeared in the Washingtonian Best Of, Washingtonian Top 100 Cheap Eats, Washingtonian Top 75 Bars, Washington City Paper Best of DC, Washington City Paper Best Mussels, Young and Hungry Top 50 Restaurants, Imbibe Magazine Top 100 Places To Drink in America, as well as mentions in Travel and Leisure, Playboy and Everyday with Rachel Ray. We were also challenged to a Moules-Frites Throwodown with Bobby Flay - and won!

Dr. Granville Moore was a neighborhood Doctor who twice a week provided pro-bono work for the sick and less fortunate members of the community at the location of Granville Moore’s. Several wonderful visitors and members of his family have come in to share their stories of the Doctor. We kept the name as an homage to the man who did so much for this community.

Local restaurateurs Chef Ryan Gordon and Roneeka Bhagotra provide daily support, ideas and encouragement to Granville Moore's small but fantastic team, taking inspiration from original recipes.

Just follow signs for FRITTES-ALES-MOULES and you won’t miss us! Yes, we know it’s spelled wrong,  but we had a few too many beers when we made the sign…
